A Night to Remember – The 2024 Awards Gala Shines Bright in Silicon Valley

The Korean Association of Silicon Valley proudly hosted the 2024 Awards Night on December 28th at the Los Altos Community Center, marking an unforgettable celebration of community spirit, excellence, and cultural brilliance. With over 140 distinguished guests in attendance, including Deputy Consul General Sang-deok Na, Mayor Lisa M. Gillmor of Santa Clara, Mayor Yan Zhao of Saratoga, Supervisor Margaret Abe-Koga, and Fremont Board of Education Member Danny Choi, the evening was a true testament to the strength and unity of our vibrant community.

From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted by an atmosphere of sophistication and warmth. Hosted by the dynamic duo, MC Eric Chung and Agnes Lee, the evening began with a breathtaking performance from Mackenzie Friesler’s "Wicked" and continued to captivate with a lineup unlike any seen before at a community gala.

Highlights included an enchanting tango performance, a spellbinding magic show, and the graceful artistry of the Kim Il-hyun Dance Company. The 7080 Band kept the energy high, while the children’s choir brought a heartwarming touch to the evening. Attendees were swept onto the dance floor during the grand finale – a festive dance party that closed the night on a joyous note.

In her opening remarks, President Dong-ok Woo expressed heartfelt gratitude to the community: "Your unwavering support and commitment have been the driving force behind our growth and success. Together, we will continue building a stronger, more united community."

CEO Jane Yoon echoed these sentiments, highlighting the power of collaboration and shared vision that carried the Association through challenges and triumphs.
